Gingerbread House

We are definitely starting to get into the Christmas spirit here in the B. household. We finally finished up all the painting (Thank God), so it is nice to have that out of the way for the holiday season. The kids helped put up the rest of the Christmas decorations and it looks great!!! It just cracks me up where they put some of the decorations, definitely not in the spots I think of, which is just fine, and it looks great. Check out Cael with this decoration, he loves it. He pushes the button and the snowman will dance and play "Jingle Bells" and Cael will dance with it. Here, it kind of seems like Cael is giving the snowman a hug!! This is the softer side of Cael!!

A few days ago, we got our paper chain up!! YEAH!! This is an idea that I stole from my sister Kim, she has such great holiday traditions with her kids that I just have to steal a few of them. Our paper chain represents how many days we have left until Christmas day, a good visual for the kids and it makes it much easier for Jaden to comprehend how many more days we have until Santa comes. Each day, we get to take a link down and then it has a job on it that we have to do. The first day our job was to decorate our Gingerbread house!! The girls were pretty excited to do it and did a great job. It was a 2-day process and who knew how much it would take to get it all decorated. It will make a great table centerpiece through the holidays!!

Such great concentration!!!
Skylar mostly decorated this side, love all big green drops of frosting!!

Jaden's side. Very creative!! (got a little help from Mom)

The final product, along with lead architect Jaden!!

Oh my gosh! I LOVE your gingerbread house!!! Look how hard they are concentrating, too!! Funny~

They did an awesome job. Love that you let each of them decorate their side however they wanted - it turned out perfectly!

Hugs and kisses to all!
