On May 5th, the school held an Elementary Track and Field Day.
The girls were unsure if they wanted to do it or not, but after a little coaxing from their dad who reassured them they would be good at it, both girls signed up.
The morning of the event, both of them had some butterflies in their stomachs, but they both put forth 100% and gave it their all.
Skylar competed in the Frisbee toss, long jump, 50m race, and 100m race.
Jaden competed in the softball throw, long jump, 100m race, and 200m race.

She had a really hard time getting her steps down, but she kept at it.

Skylar definitely made a name for herself this day. AS you can see, she just SMOKED everyone in the race. She must have gotten her speed from her father or her Papa B, but that girl sure is fast!!

Jaden did an awesome job in her races. She sped by everyone in the 100m and ran by me smiling!!

In the 200m, she got 2nd place by just a few meters. She was starting to get really tired by the end and she told me that 200m is a long ways to run that fast!!

The girls did such a good job and I was so proud of them. I think that track is such a hard sport, very individual and nerve racking. But each of them did such a good job!! Way to go my little B girls!! Makes me look forward to watching them on the track in the future!!
