This past weekend, we headed up to Dubuque to the indoor water park for a mini family vacation. We had a great time!! The water park there is so kid friendly!! The kids mostly stayed in the kiddie pool where the water didn't get any deeper than 1 1/2 feet. They had a little slide that went into it and things spraying all over. The kids (and us too) had such a great time!!
Isn't this picture the best?? Skylar is ready to go to the pool!! She had to get the floaties on and the goggles!! Absolutely cracks me up!!! When we first got to the hotel, we went swimming for a couple hours. After that, we took a short break to get some dinner and then went back into the pool for a couple more hours. Cael lasted until 9:30 that night before Tad took him up to the room for bed. The girls and I stayed in the pool until 10:00!! I couldn't believe they lasted that long in it!! We all crashed hard that night.
As for Jaden, she is a little timid around the water and doesn't like water on her face, but had a great time. She liked it even better when we brought down our round floatie to have around her belly and she could kick her feet up and relax (see picture below a little).
Cael went under the water about a dozen times at first, but once he got used to the water and walking in waist high water, he loved splashing around and playing. He was our little adventurer and would just take off. He loved to climb up the big water tower and then going down the slide on our laps. Little dare devil!

As for Skylar, she is my little independent one with the great imagination. She kept herself very busy in the water, walking all around, playing with the balls, chasing the balls, and just having fun. She got braver and braver around the water the longer we were there.
The next day, we swam for a couple more hours before heading back home. tHe kids were absolutely exhausted!! That night, Cael and Skylar both slept for 13 hours and Jaden slept 15 hours!!! We finally figured out how to exhaust our kids, take them swimming for 2 days!!

How fun - - looks like a great time for everyone!
How fun, you crammed a lot of water time into a couple of days. So glad non of the kids were afraid of the water. Sounds like you all had a great time. love ya.
We've gone there too and I agree that it is very kid friendly. We really enjoyed it and are going to try to go again this year :)
